£11k is a lot of money for an old 200tdi with a load of off road tat bolted on and with rot in the chassis (99% sure outrigger will not be the only bit and it will have been patched elsewhere), and rotten doors.
I am guessing it has had a 300tdi dropped in it to replace a knackered 200tdi and as it has had to have its oil cooler lines extended it is still running the not as nice LT77 box with the 300tdi in the 200tdi position, rather than a proper 300tdi / R380 conversion, again not exactly desirable and the quality of most of these retrofits leaves a lot to be desired at the best of times. |

It sounds to me more like a £5k vehicle than an £11k one.

It sounds like it’s had some good work done on it, which adds value. But as has been mentioned above the off road stuff doesn’t make it worth any more ( perhaps less?)
You could get a tidy td5 hardtop for that money. I’d say £6k max if it’s sound. 2002 td5 90 county hardtop |

anything in raptor paint is hard to sell as it screams off roader and covers a whole heap of bodywork issues..
11k is a lot for an early 90 ask your self if you need and want all the tat that has been added to the motor. if so go and have a test drive and see if does what you want it to keep in mind your budget will allow you buy a lot of landrovers, 300 and td5 ones included. |

£11k would buy you a tidy tdi on a galv chassis.
Forget about it, get a td5 |

i would not bother fella, for 11k, you can pick up a very good 300 or a decent TD5.
![]() last thing you want is messing about with a defender that's got bolt on tat and an engine conversion. Which will have a some question marks of it own. Be good for a 4 to 5k off road slag that's about it. ![]() Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

£11k seems a lot for that... £6k would go a long way on something like this for example and you’d have the opportunity to improve as you saw fit / needed...
