[Wanted] Scrap Panel
I'm going to have a go at straightening my safari roof before fitting, but have never had a go at panel beating before. The suggestion is to practice first. So does anyone have a panel that is beyond help that I could practice on rather than making my roof worse.

I've looked on ebay, but everything looks salvageable and I don't really want to destroy something that could be used.

Thanks!

Can't help with the panel, I'm afraid, but I'd be interested in knowing how bent or dented your roof is. I am sure you're aware that aluminium alloys aren't the easiest to sort out since they tend to work harden and require annealing. That being said, coachbuilt car bodies in the days of old were almost exclusively aluminium, so with skill the most flowing lines and gorgeous shapes can be crafted.

The best of luck with your experimenting!

Well, it's not awful, bearing in mind it's a Land Rover, hence my not wanting to make it worse. If it proves too much for me, I'll just paint it and fit it, dents and all.
