JLR always do mega lease deals for the Blue Light services to get stuff out there. We had no end of bother with the early Evoques. Rgds. Chris |

Generally, I quite like the steel wheels but that looks like a car that has lost its' wheel trims. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Retroanaconda - I’ve heard that habitat for Woodpeckers has increased vastly and they are thriving because of it. A good thing as they have been down in numbers due constant clearance of decaying timber thus removing their nesting and feeding habitat.
Many Tree species actually require high heat to germinate seedlings, a rejuvenation of natural woodland habitat happens fairly quickly. At natures own pace. Regards the 2020 Def, it still haven’t grown on me at all but does look a bit better with Alloys on. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Anecdotally, I know of one police force that won't purchase Jaguars because they are deemed to be a luxury brand and all that goes with those "optics". Landrover seems to be a different proposition. Their reliability record speaks for itself. As an example: "The Volvo XC60 will be procured at the same specification for all Officers (Station Commander to Principal Officer) and it is proposed that the entire fleet will be replaced within the financial year 2018/19. This will include the current Land Rover Discovery Sports purchased in early 2016. The rationale for the decision to replace these vehicles earlier than anticipated is based upon the continued poor reliability and chronic defects. Whilst these issues are being dealt with through the manufacturer’s warranty, and are being rectified at no direct cost, this has led to significant disruption and capacity costs in the management and replacement of vehicles during these periods." ^ Another reason for a once proud Company to hang their head in shame.

Other quotes from that report:
"The latter replacement vehicle that was purchased, the Land Rover Discovery Sport, is available to be purchased and does meet the user specification. However this vehicle has increased in cost, suffered from several reliability issues, and the Service has received poor customer support from dealerships. These issues do not exclude this vehicle from any future procurement, but the data held on these issues will be a consideration." " It was also found that the Skoda and Volvo generally outperformed the Land Rover in many of the peripheral areas such as: blue light fitment, customer support infrastructure, reliability ratings and additional costs." " Volvo XC60 - £7017 or £2339 per annum Skoda Kodiaq - £8066 or £2688 per annum Land Rover Discovery Sport - £10189 or £3396 per annum The Volvo XC60 would present a saving in comparison to the current annual cost for a Land Rover Discovery Sport. It is also anticipated that subject to like for like leasing arrangements it is unlikely that the final costs of the 2018 Volvo XC60 would exceed that which were paid for the 2014 Land Rover Freelanders." " Some essential additional items required, such as mud flaps and spare wheels, were similar in price for Skoda and Volvo, however Land Rover were found to be around double the comparative cost." " Customer Support from Land Rover in recent years has degraded with numerous Officers suffering from unacceptably low levels of customer support from all dealerships." " Blue Light fitment – whilst cost for blue light fitment may be similar between all three manufacturers, both Volvo and Skoda offer blue light fitment at source and would be installed and guaranteed by the manufacturer. This is preferable, not only for convenience and that it reduces the capacity demands on Fleet support staff, but most importantly does not invalidate any part of the ongoing warranty of the vehicle." |

There is not much hope for the rest of us if the Police service who would be buying multiple vehicles get bad back up service from dealerships. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Wow, there's damning and there is that! Landrover should be ashamed.
