I bought some for 90csw with no bulkhead recently from SP4x4, I’ve had some exactly the same from them two years ago for another CSW and they were perfect however this time the six visible rivet holes in the tub sides don’t line up with the capping. It’s not just a case of redrilling the capping as the capping stops short of the holes so the tub side would need redrilling - the cappings have been made slightly shorter than the old ones.
As the 90csw cappings are three piece welded unlike the standard one piece 90 ones, my solution is to cut the new cappings into three pieces and weld the old centre section (luckily it was the rear sections that rotted) into the new front and rear sections, and then get them galvanised - that way all the visible holes will line up, but not really impressed at cutting up £150 worth of new cappings! As far as I am aware - these are genuine cappings too. |

reading up on these, according to SP4x4 Landrover changed the design 2009 so pre this year the pop rivet holes won't align and you have to redrill the tub and blank off the other holes. They use genuine parts and that's how the come. so it says

Nope, it’s not to do with the redesign. These are almost right but not, the rivet holes are all in line vertically however are approx 5mm too high horizontally - I will take a photo tomorrow as it’s hard to explain what is wrong with them.
Also the capping design and hole pattern changed circa 2004 not 2009 so shows how much SP4x4 actually know. |

Well this sort of info is exactly why I asked the question. Mines a 2005 so I’m guessing I’ll have no compatibility issue. Well not too much I hope. What seals should I change while I’m doing it?
