Russia 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Tonga Green
Another Puma owner from New Zealand
Hi, took the plunge and brought a 2008 (april) 110 csw with 11000km here in New Zealand
For interest NZ$51000=19,259.40 GBP =20,820.09 EUR
They are NZ$72000 new, most dealer still wanting NZ$60000 for ones like this.
All seems ok and checking all the techincal stuff re sump, welded A Frames etc
Sold my 2001 td5 to buy this
Swapping over winch, diff guards, rock sliders, making seat covers and will put cavity wax in the chassis and maybe some underseal although Rust is not a problem here like with salt on the roads like the UK and russia where I spend some time
Very Pleased, very smooth car and still has new Car smell!!! Very Happy

No the importers rip us off, the Same 110 csw in Australia is about $10000 to $15000 cheaper (slightly different spec)
When our dollars are close, it can be worth while to buy one from Australia and bring in here, my friend did
The importers blame the "small" market, but in reality they get a basic model add all the extras such as Air con etc and add up to 100%, its a great way of getting a profit, you used to be able to buy basic 110s etc and choose specs, now ONE model and no choice and top dollar, eg air con was 700 GBP retail in the Uk =$2100 but charged here NZ$3400!!! etc etc,, yu get the picture
We have no import tax here(free Trade!!) only GST=VAT of 12.5%

Hi sasha2001
I hate gatting ripped off, espcially when theres nothing you can do about it.
Anyway, that looks like a good price compared with mainland Europe. In france your defender would cost about 30k euro. 130 crew cab
