Not helped by the fact that they don't know where many of the original mine shafts are and a few have 'reopened' in people gardens. Shocked

So many new housing estates have gone up in the last few years they will run out of land to mine on soon....

The area they are digging in it would be an improvement Whistle most of Cornwall now is covered in wind turbines and solar panel farms so digging some of it up won’t be a bad thing !! 2015 HT XS 90

The initial dig point is in a mine that only shut 30 years ago, so the site is already there. Just need to get back inside (which I believe they’re already pumping the water out.
