They have stated CO2 for all 6cyl at 230. So 6 grams less than the 2.0. Doesn’t change it’s tax of £475 a year after the initial first year hit. 1951 80" S1 2.0

saw a press release that they were also equipping the RRS with D250, D300 and D350
so it looks like there will be a broader "test community" to prove the I6 D yet another pommie bar steward down under

Indeed. There must be some changes to turbos and intercoolers to go from 200-350bhp. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Also the new model X-Dynamic - I wonder if this is a result of what customers are speccing factory order cars with and what dealer fit accessories are being added.

It seems to be a styling pack including some items limited to the X (gloss black skirts, satin bumpers), plus different interior trim. The only functional part is the recovery hoops. Without those they might as well have bundled the 22" wheels for the city set.

There is more info under
www.paultan.org.
Here is written that the 2.0 inline4 diesels are superceded by the new inline 6. Normally everybody tries to downgrade to smaller engines and use the electric power to give it more torque. Also the manufacturing costs of an inline six are normally higher. There must be another reason!
My disco 5 had an seized engine with less then 30k miles. Twisted Evil Maybe that was just one out of thousands or are there more problems involved with the ingenium inline 4?
It really makes me wonder and im also in a bad mood since i have an appointment with the JLR dealer in the afternoon with the target to place an order. There was no info about replacement of the actual engines. He just told me that there would be a price increase from tomorrow! Is that also not the full truth and he want just make me hurry to sign the contract? Hedgehog

Price increase could be because the £ has taken a hammering against the Euro over the last couple of weeks.......... and I know the car is built in the Euro zone but I bet the pricing is all done in pounds and then converted Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Defender 110 SE with fabric sun roof. What’s new about that? There have been photos of 110’s with the cloth roof before Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

the claim is the 110 fabric roof option will come to fruition, who knows with all
the new options being touted for MY21. A few questions being asked about what
is intelligent AWD vs the current permanent 4wd on the new Diesels.. yet another pommie bar steward down under

Didn’t they do this with the introduction or the ingenium into the Discovery Sport? Started off with the old Freelander 2.2 lump for launch and then the better engine came out within months?

They did but it was for the first 18 months or so if I recall correctly. With the benefit of hindsight the old engine was probably a better choice given what we now know about the oil dilution issues with this platform.

21MY now on configurator including hard top.

I can’t get a Base spec 90 anymore, have top stump up £44k for a D200 S.

EDIT - might be cheaper with the Hardtop

The 2.2 turned out to be the more reliable and fuel efficient! No engine oil dilutions etc that came with the increased burden of meeting environmental legislation on the Ingenium set up.

Can't say I am pleased with this news but its what I predicted a couple of weeks ago. I am hoping that the service costs of the 4cyl will be less than the 6 cyl MHEV diesel.

The 4 cylinder when it arrives at the dealers will be the last ICE vehicle I buy. If I'm in the market again it should be for an H2 vehicle. However I might not still be here by the time they hit production at JRL. Life's short and getting shorter!

IIRC Intelligent AWD was launched on the 2015MY Evoque Petrol as an economy device, it disengages the rear drive above 28mph but the ABS/TC monitors continuously for front wheel slip and can re-engage 4WD/AWD in 1/300th of a second.........
Don’t understand why it’s called new tech unless this is the first application to a full 4WD LR rather than an AWD Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

They've stuck big plastic panels over the windows, that do nothing but obscure vision. Shocked Wink
