Don't forged the Carlex. I think they cut the upper grille in half, round the edges before paint/wrap and put them together before assembling back.

And the strip black between the light surroundings on the bonnet...

We are waiting to order a MY21 P400 in either Silicone Silver or Pangea Green. Plan is to paint the silver front and rear bumper elements in satin dark grey to match the 5098 wheels we are speccing it with.

Undecided on whether to spec the black pack from the factory or not as don't want the gloss black treadplates on the hood. Need to figure out if its cheaper/easier to order the black pack from the factory and also order replacement standard hood elements, or forgo the black pack and have the upper grill trim and badges changed to black after delivery.

I don’t have the black pack but do have gloss black bonnet tread plates on my First Edition and I’m pretty sure every New Defender I’ve seen (only 4 so far on the roads ) have been the same. Also the side vents on mine are gloss black.
** just checked the UK Configurator and black pack isn’t an option on First Edition but I have all the elements fitted anyway** Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

One thing for sure, JLR never aero tested them......... yesterday after overright rain I drove to town in sunshine and for 16 miles I had rain water held under them spray up onto my windscreen as I drove along, just like my old Defender does from the leading edge of its bonnet without checker plate fitted to it. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Its a shame this isn't an option that can be ticked on the configurator when building an order.

That and the dark grey finish for the crossbar inside. Weird how they are making people pick between white and almost white (obviously unless you want to outlay a significant premium for the X).

With new X-Dynamic is possible to have Defender "all black" from factory.
