Hi Cap, heavy Duty Spec
Looking at a hi cap on e bay and it says it is a Heavy Duty spec, 3500kg with Heavy duty double springs.
Can anyone explain the double spring option, how they are located and was it an option.

Thanks

Pete

Yep... from what I thought was that it is standard..... what would be the point of a Hi-cap with a low weight carrying ability? Unless you are transporting feathers maybe.

HiCaps didn't have the double springs (AKA 130 springs) as standard, unless you chose the HD option.

If you wore green for a living, the HD option would also include a salisbury front axle!

I've got the 130 springs on the back of my 110 SW. As SC70 says, it's a smaller spring inside the main spring, with a cap on the top (sits under the chassis spring mount) and a bit that bolts onto the lower spring mount, which locate this smaller spring in place, so if you were thinking about it, you couldn't have drop out springs and relocation cones.
