Scotland 2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Indus Silver
Headlamp bezels
The headlamp bezels on my 2011 Defender have rusted away so I ordered two stainless steel ones for Paddocks (STC3018SS) which arrived today. Paddocks website states that they fit all Defenders, but they do not fit (do not align properly). My Defender has electrically adjustable headlamps - could that be the problem? You will see from attached photo a spindle from the electric motor at 6 o'clock and 2 screws at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The retaining screw hole is at 5 o'clock. Any help would be most appreciated.https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/userpics/20590/thumb_IMG_1693~0.JPG

Thanks Chris - it seems very strange. I have just noticed that if you reverse the bezel with the shiny outer looking inwards it all lines up!

There's nothing unusual about the headlight bowl and the mounting points for the headlights. All I can think of is that you haven't got the retaining rings lined up properly.

Here's the back of one of my headlights to hopefully give you a clue:

Many thanks Guys. I think I have got it sorted - Darren yours looks like mine - am I right in saying that the bezel is only connected to the 3 adjusters i.e. 3 o'clock 9 o'clock and 6 o'clock where the spindle comes out of the motor. What was confusing me was the additional lugs with screw holes at 4 o'clock and 11 o'clock as per picture attached. Regards Jim

Yeah, that's right. Not every hole in the bezel is used. Darren
