Thanks lads for your kind words, his ashes maybe back tomorrow or next week, in a little wooden casket, which is shaped like a sleeping cat, Me and my mum have argued where he is going in the house
I still say he goes on top of my computer on my desk. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Procta, I so feel your pain. Both my daughters were quite upset when I read your post to them.
We have 3 cats - Daisy a black cat who is 11 ( the boss), Lola, a 2 year old tortoiseshell ( easygoing) and Freddy who is just a kitten, an absolute nutter and very affectionate to boot - all rescue cats. We live near a busy road and its always a worry. Almost every week I see a dead cat on the way to work and wonder how sad the owners must be. The only advice i could give you would be to ( when you're ready) get a kitten. I had forgotten how crazy, fun loving and sweet natured they are. He'll be your buddy in no time. I must admit I wasn't keen on getting a third cat but having just spent the afternoon outside weeding the plant beds with Freddy chasing the hoe, jumping up trees and climbing up my legs to sit on my shoulder its such a tonic for a miserable old git like me in these strange times we live in ! . |

Its not nice at all, we got his paw prints in the post yesterday. Was a bit of a bright eyes moment for me, and even last night while having a few beers. I will try and convince my mum together another cat. They are a miss, and they are a laugh, Even when Kittens.
I had some right belters with tigger, patting me on the shoulders for some my chicken or tuna, i used to wind him all the time. Even when he was a kitten. Its sitting at the PC desk, he would share a my chair with me. Or even sit on my lap. Sorry to hear that Procta. Very sad news, very tough decision. And as you say, all too early. We have three cats and we fear the day we have to make that choice, even in old age, but I know we'd be equally upset if it was after injury. Stay strong, remember the good times with the we fella.
