In Sydney the dealers hammer you for $3k damage liability if you want a test drive, so take a copy
of your credit card as well as your licence yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

At our local dealer the sales lady ownly took a copy of our driving licences.
If the missus wasn’t there I would have freely given her my telephone number and bank details.... |

Your dealer has one of them as well? Flutter their eye lashes and the next thing you know you’ve bought the showroom. |

Did anyone try the clever new mirror/camera. I wear vari-focus glasses to drive (mildly short sighted), and whilst the rear view mirror in camera mode gave a fantastic un-interrupted view, it was out of focus
This is obvious when you think about it as the camera image is on the mirror face where as with the actual mirror the image is the correct distance away. I could fix it by lifting my glasses up or tilting my head to view the mirror though the lower half of my glasses hardly ideal! 2015 90 XS SW Bowler 1998 TD5 CSW |

Well I’m a convert, I love it, truly smitten. I made full use of every minute of the 3 hour slot I had, did most of the driving around B roads but also managed a little light off roading across some of our (now extremely wet!) fields. It performed faultlessly across the board. I’m sure with ownership over time a few niggles would crop up. As with a few others on here, wasn’t a fan of the locker on the side, it blocked too much side vision for my liking but that’s easily fixed.
Would it replace my current defenders? No, but nothing would, but it would certainly Supplement them very well. Going to go and have a serious think now Click image to enlarge |

This is why I haven't signed up for an extended test drive! I could be tempted to swap my sensible car for a 110, alongside our 16MY 90. I came close after borrowing a D5 for a couple of weeks but I suspect I'd like the Defender more... |

Looks like that one was registered in memory of Father Ted’s Father Jack...........that plate must have sneaked passed the DVLA profanity algorithms - I supppse in light of other Govt algorithms Performance of late we shouldn’t expect too much Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Yep, it would have to be a 110, maybe even a 130 if it’s still a thing? I would need to see a 90 in the flesh before ruling that out. Im not going to jump right in yet as I’d like to see a commercial and a 90 before making a final decision and have spent too much this financial year anyway. I know it’s only been a few hours since I dropped it off, but I don’t think I can wait till next year
The wife was Particularly fond of the number plate as profanity is her mother tongue |
