Can anyone confirm what the actual specific Alcantara headliner material dark grey color is that is used in the Adventure model by name with 100% certainty?
Alcantara Panel is available in about 7 different gray colours, I'm needing to know which one it was? I'm not comfortable by trying to select the color by looking "on screen" as it's not a true representation of the original. Basalt Dark Grey Mouse Grey Orion Grey (too light I think) Sand Grey Slate Grey Specific names are below on a chip chart. https://www.hydesleather.com/alcantara/alcantara-panel it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

I always thought mine was black! It’s very dark if it is really grey!

Pretty sure Ebony Black Alston is a name that JLR had given the material for their own marketing purposes. There is no "Alston" material. Just like the Genuine Ripple Grey headliner... it's not called Ripple Grey by the manufacturer, it's JLR's "marketing brochure name" for it. it's a Landrover thing...
