Clutch question!
Hi!

Some news about the clutch's springs problems?

My 08/09 Puma, which according to it's VIN won't have the problem clutch had it's clutch replaced with only 25000 km, some notices if this "new" clutches are working properly?

Isn't this clutch problem a inadimissible problem for a Defender?

LR know about this amout of clutches changed under warranty?

What LR are doing to permanent solve this problem?

Sorry about the massive questions, but her in Brazil we don't have informations and the dealers even know that the clutch is an big and persistant problem in all world!

regards

Just an oppinion, but probably a HD, good quality dual mass flywheel would have been a better solution. The actual dual-damper friction plate is the cheap LR solution. Puma 110" SW

Gabriel,

a close friend just replaced his 110 y08 clutch for the third time. Not only this, but he is also on the 2nd engine, gearbox, turbo + exhaust manifold. So far everything covered under waranty...

Good luck.

Gabriel,

I have the new one since the 30,000 km replaced under guarantee after the springs falling down from the clutch plate.

Now, with 120,000 km I didnt see any problem.

Cheers Eduardo

I would rather have the rattly thing in the Puma than the awful dual-mass arrangement of the TD5 any day.

The TD5 dual mass flywheel is an abomination.
