J, I think you’ll need to add mud flaps to that list, the big Classic ones. After our off-road jaunt at the weekend MrEleven’s sidesteps were really caked with mud behind the front wheels and he doesn’t have any mud flaps (yet).
I thought that you were considering the commercial 90 or are you still working out a spec for one Rolling with laughter
Must admit I still go onto the configurator and build accessories onto the car there. So between us we must account for a couple of 100,000 builds to fool LR numpties who think every car built on the configurator will turn into an order.... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

The VAT kills the commercial, sorry Gerry, Hard Top for me. I can just fold the back seats down for the dogs, if they ain’t happy then they can dip their paws into their pockets and pay the VAT for the Hard Top Laughing

I’ve been knocking up another few million configurations on the configurator, which by the time I can order a 90 it may be the 21MY specs and I’ll have to start over again.

As it stands, I’ve settled on -

90 Base D240
Tasman Blue
White roof
Privacy glass
Centre console
White interior crossbeam
Cold pack
Classic mud flaps
Side steps.

Great spec. Almost the same as my 110. I’m still torn about paying another £860 for the white roof so still haven’t specked it, but having the sun roof. I 100% convinced I wanted the Tasman Blue all these months while playing on the Configurator and the Pagea green was one of my least favourites. But when I actually saw them all together in the flesh, I was really disappointed with the blue and my favourite was the Green! So make sure if you haven’t already, that you’ve seen a blue one in real life before placing your order.
The 90 is obviously the sexier of the two sizes. It just didn’t have a big enough boot for us sadly or else we’d definitely have waited for the 90. Sold the Puma Defender and bought a brand new Pangea Green 2020 Defender D240 S with a few factory extras!

For me it was either Pangea Green or Tasman Blue, I’m hoping to see a Blue one soon as my dealer now has one on site. But at the moment though I’ve got god knows how many Tasman Blue photos in various lights, shaded, sunny etc. The white roof I grudge a bit but I think I’d rather have it factory painted rather than wrapped.

Apparently though, Portofino Blue will be available for 21MY, so colour may change. I think dark blue/white combo would look good.

Portofino blue has been popular with the RRSport guys.
This afternoon I saw an RRS in what was either Etherial Ultra Metalluc or Icy White special effect paint , whichever it was very nice Pentland Newbridge had a Sanguinello Orange RRS HST in their compound - it’s a bit less in your face than the Madagascar Orange Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I liked Loire Blue, had it on my DS and D4. Namib Orange was nice on my D5.

There’s a post somewhere on here which shows the alleged changes, but no I don’t think you’ll be missing out on much, more the opposite. 21MY Defenders lose the surround camera system, it will be optional.

Found it

It will look good in Silicone Silver with the black contrast roof - I would have liked The Head Up display on mine - it was really useful although very basic in the Countryman. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

But still no glass roof option on the 90 unless you buy the X version. Saab, Audi , Bentley and Rolls Royce might do fantastic fabric roofs but I bet LR’s is a single layer not 6 layers like the others and will be easily knifed Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I love the look and functionality of the fabric sunroof, but I’d be concerned about the security and leaking element. Also I have a original Mini Open Classic that has this roof, Multilayered and although it’s brilliant, it’s gradually shrunk over the years (they all do evidently) and is a fortune to replace as it’s really complex. I imagine the Land Rover one could perhaps be no different? Sold the Puma Defender and bought a brand new Pangea Green 2020 Defender D240 S with a few factory extras!
