Agree with above, modern vehicles are disposable basically because of how complex they are in many ways, pandering to more superficial tastes as time has gone by.
The classic Defender was the last of a simply built, fit for purpose, adaptable, sustainable to repair yet reasonably affordable vehicle, but arguably totally imperfect, and was all the better for it in my opinion
Still sad it stopped being production but was quite a miracle it survived that long really as pointed out in another post.
