Lots of tips and advice thanks
Although I’m not swapping for a hotel! lol Garlic seems to come up a lot I wonder if garlic tablets have the same effect? Isn’t it strange how someone next to you can be bite free you are covered? The skin so soft didn’t seem to work or it did work and only the nose blind midges got through it! If you are out in the wilds and cannot bear it any longer then if you can find a Bog Myrtle bush and crush the leaves and rub them on your skin that is a natural way for some people to keep the midges at bay. THERMACELL THERMACELL THERMACELL
I spend probably 50+ nights a year under the stars uncovered whilst fishing, and been battered for years, tried every liquid going and can relate to military issue stuff melting SA80 grips But THERMACELL is the one, screws on top of a gas can and NOTHING will come within 15+ metres of you https://www.proadventure.co.uk/acatalog/Th...ellBP.html Instagram; @gavin_walding |

Looks pretty good! Seeing the webpage it is similar to the Raid tablet that you put in the electric sockets to avoid mosquitoes. If are the same ones Works quite well inside house (dont know outside). Cheers! Excellent, I’m going to get one of these and try it on our next trip. Not for home as never sat in one place, but I got absolutely eaten alive in France last year, still got some scars! 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

In Fairness the Marines generally wear Avon products in everyday active duty and have found that the best way to avoid midges/mozzi's is holding hands "Just saying" "Of Course, Of course, I ain't asking . I'm telling!!" |

Avon removed the ingredient that repelled midges a while ago I think. Pint of Guinness is supposed to attract them quite well as a diversion.
If camping smoke is the best repellent I've found if you can light a fire. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

Just found Avon do a specific Skin So Soft Bug Guard with Picaridin, but shows no available in the uk, there are some on eBay though.
Some other sites do mention that Avon removed the insect repellant chemical from their range....may be why it did work very well for me?
