As I'm keeping my 110 and looking as a second vehicle. I'd go Bronco, maybe the small one.
If I was replacing my 110 (not) then I'd probably still be more interested in a Bronco. It's from an established manufacture. INEOS is unproven. Also the Grenadier looks like an ungainly 110 which I'm currently struggling with. Be interesting to see one in the 'flesh'. Also hear how it's progressing with manufacturing (Daimler or Wales) to see if that gives me more confidence. Like most of you I'm following the INEOS story with interest. However that Bronco really caught my attention. Bet it's affordable too. The new Defender is not on my interest list and is too expensive. Maybe I'll look again once the 90 is out in commercial form with steel wheels and a better price. Shame no plans announced for Bronco outside of America

If I were to replace my 110, it would be the Grenadier.
To replace my wife's X1, would be the Bronco. I just need to convince my wife that a Bronco is more interesting that a Ford Ranger style pickup. |

The question would be similar to saying 'Puma Defender 110SW or Cool n Vintage 90'? Very different vehicles and uses. However:
Replacing the DCPU, Grenadier Preserving the DCPU forever, and there for needing a Daily driver workhorse for where I live, Grenadier. Cool, summer sun, doors-off fun, Bronco Something that might fill the spot of a 90 if I wanted one, Bronco Worldwide touring/overlanding, Grenadier Robustness and longevity, Grenadier Off road ragging, Ariel Nomad Timeless beach fun model, Cool n Vintage 90 and I'd certainly tick the 'bikini model' box on the options list. Finally price, Bronco. I just don't think the Grenadier, looking at the quality of its parts, will come in at less than £35-40 for the poverty spec varient. Love both though. While I can appreciate the Bronco for what it is I don’t need 30 odd inch wheels and the pumped up look. I’m sure they look good rock crawling or driving down the Pacific Highway in lovely sunshine with the top off but I want a vehicle which can carry all sorts of stuff and not be too worried about scuffing the inside, if it was able to be hosed out that would be good, if I can get in it with my muddy gear on that would be good, if I could put a muddy dog in the back that would be good, if it can tow 3.5 tonnes, that would be good. So essentially thats why I like the Defender but if the Defender had more room inside was a bit more comfortable and the build quality and reliability was up there then it would be a great vehicle for me. So Hopefully the Grenadier will have all those qualities and if so it would be a Grenadier for me.

Agree with lots of points above, and M. Grenadier - there's no perfect vehicle is there, I'd have a garage of all those cars if I could afford to - one to scratch every itch! And either way, if you want something to do exactly what your classic Defender does, keep your classic Defender (which I plan to do regardless of a new purchase). And it is all hypothetical anyway, as the Grenadier might not happen, and we might not get the Bronco in Europe... But my serious point is, the disaffected followers of the new Defender rejoiced when Grenadier was previewed. I now wonder how may of those would now choose a Bronco over a Grenadier, i.e. will the Bronco now threaten the very existence of Grenadier, or will there be sufficient market for both to exist? |

Perhaps people who like to pimp up there Defenders with big wheels and lots of add on customised bits may go for the Bronco and if that’s what you like I can see the appeal. However if you want something which is not pretentious, to do a job of work, and be a honest utility vehicle then maybe the Grenadier is for you. Personally I’m in the latter camp but I’m sure there will be room for both of them if the Bronco does come to Europe.
