Never done it, but expect you gain wiggle room by removing rear mudflap bracket. Plus jacking and axle stands on chassis will allow rear axle to drop if it’s the gap between body/ chassis and the axle that’s causing the issue.

Go easy on the mudflap bracket bolts as they can be corroded, nutserts can spin, bolts sheer etc which leaves you with another job to sort out. I would go for jacking first. In still not sufficient room look to removing mudflap bracket but soak bolts in plusgas first.
Ps how does she not notice an exhaust arriving in the post ... or you laying under the truck fitting it! |

Al done, packaging off to the tip so no trace.
What have you done today dear.....nothing much darling, just some housework....... 
Oh, I am going to hell for that one😬 But on the plus side, lovely piece of engineering, will be going out for a run shortly to see How it sounds. On tick over it is definitely quieter than the Twisted one on my other vehicle, pretty much what I wanted, The boy racer stuff isn’t really for me as I’m too old for that now! |

I will post a pic / video later tonight or early tomorrow if that’s ok, the vehicles rammed up against the
Fence at the moment so wouldn’t be enough room for a good photograph. Lovely bit of Engineering though, well finished rolled end. |

Oh, should have said that I reused the rubber hangers / mounts as the ones that I ordered with the
Exhaust are absolutely solid, I tried everything to get the on but ended up hurting my back, they are absolutely Brick hard. I did think about sticking them in the microwave to soften them up but thought better of it. Tried hot water, washing up liquid....Nada! Be careful not to damage the original rubbers because you may not have any other option but to reuse them Or you might find yourself stuck. |

They may be a bad batch of rubbers so worth highlighting to demand. You don’t want them to be too solid as they act as a vibration damper.
Did jacking and supporting the chassis work, or did you need to remove the mudflap bracket as well. |

Jacking the chassis lifted it high enough to remove the rear silencer portion
Without removing the mudflap. So thanks for that. Yeah the rubbers were absolutely solid, didn’t think they were meant to be like that. |
