United Kingdom 2005 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Java Black
[Wanted] Subwoofer
Hi All,

Looking for a sub to go in the back of the TD5. There's plenty languishing around on FB market place but I have some (I hope justified) notion that the Def2 sellers are better people.

Ideally a slim-line that I can bolt to the back of the cubby but wouldn't say no to a normal sub box. With amp preferred.

Thanks in advance!

I have this one up for grabs but is bulky to post. Used to fit in the boot of a classic mini perfectly, or takes up the space of 1 side facing fold up seat. Make me an offer

I have one of these. I bolted it to the bulkhead behind the cubby box. Works really well. Mine was under £100 when I bought it

I have a KENWOOD KSC-SW11 it made a great difference even with the standard head, and even better since I have fitted a better head unit with direct connectors for a sub, it does not take up too much room and is quite robust.

Another plus is the fact the wiring is simple.

Finally I have recently seen them in the sale at the Car Audio Centre and on Amazon for about £85 I was thinking of fitting a second one at the rear of the car

Thanks all, I appreciate the replies.

For around the £100 mark it seems one of the slimline subs with an integrated amp is my best bet.

I'll have a look around.

Thanks,

Oliver

I like the look of that, about to fit a flip up pioneer head unit but don’t have the factory upgraded sound system so wanted some more bass. Are you fitting it to the rear of the cubby?

If you want a good active sub take a look at the Kicker hideaway too. 👍🏻 No Guts, No Glory.
