I know that the global drug trade is worth billions, so i guess it makes sense for a cash strapped company to go after the young up and coming cash rich, time poor drug dealer |

I like it! Looks more boxy and square than they have been recently, more like the L322 and classic RR was.

Don’t mind the overall profile, clearly they’ve done a sleeker version of the Disco 6. Sorry, I meant new Defender. What I worry about is all the electric slidey cr*p inside. I don’t mind it per se, certainly if made by Audi or Beemer. But this stuff is being designed by a company who struggle to seal a windscreen to an A-pillar or create a wiring loom capable of running an indicator. Why all the slidey-lightey stuff then? Keep it simple, keep it elegant, keep it free of crap. Oops, three design principles Jerry McG doesn’t understand. Monsieur Le Grenadier

When I see videos like these, or indeed any modern car out on the road, I am all the more convinced my plan to keep my 110 for ever is the right one. I guess I'll be hanging up my keys in 25-30 years so should be achievable. Although I don't particularly mind technological advances I do object to complexity and the fact everything is so damned ugly.. 2011 110 USW

"... Underpinning the vehicle will be Land Rover's new MLA (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) platform that debuts this year in a redesigned Jaguar XJ. It was previously thought the platform would debut in the redesigned Defender but Land Rover went with an evolution of the D7 platform instead for the off-roader. The D7 platform underpins the outgoing Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, as well as the Discovery. The MLA platform has been designed to fit battery-electric powertrains and will eventually underpin most models from the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. The platform will also be lighter than the aluminum-intensive D7 platform. ..." -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Funny that the massive 'gaping maw' radiator look that most ICE manufacturers seem to favour now will presumably date them even more when the model has to be electrified before 2035. Or maybe that's on purpose, to help differentiate. I dunno, but it sure is ugly and nice to think the trend should inevitably decline again. |

Looks like that 2022 FFRR has inherited the New Defender DRL’s and headlights........
What I don’t understand is why new cars have to continually get wider and wider, soon the roads will be too narrow to accommodate them without them loosing wing mirrors as they pass each other.....
