I had wondered about the central location mount, I had hoped that this would be available for the Tom Tom but it looks like it isn’t. £120 😢
And has been stated is that perhaps it may be too close to the windscreen.

I have looked at the Brodit but the problem is that I am fitting a Pioneer avh-z7200dab single din flip up screen stereo and it appears that it could interfere slightly if it were to be in the location that they suggest on their website.
