Windscreen Rubber
I have just been to my local Landrover Dealership with the intention of purchasing a new
Windscreen rubber. The vehicle is going into the Paint Shop for the corrosion on the windscreen surround
To be sorted and I had intended to fit a new rubber.

I was stunned when I was quoted close to £140.00.....

I am aware that original parts command a premium bit that was a bit unexpected.

I would rather use an original Landrover part for the windscreen rather than a copy but that seems a bit much.

Is this them taking the proverbial or is it what I should be expected to pay.

If you want a genuine landrover one other sellers for instance https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/windscreen-ru...33234.html are cheaper ie in this case £86 plus vat, non genuine https://www.jgs4x4.co.uk/land-rover-defend...cpe500020/ labelled ones significantly less. However I expect the dealership would only fit a Genuine one.

I’ll give them a go.

The last time I bought one it was £75 inc vat from Pentland Land Rover, Edinburgh.

That’s some increase but there again it is Land Rover!
