Congratulations to JCB |

You do know that that was four year old news, don't you? They've already started to sell these off now? They're quite cool but rather specialised and expensive, and command high prices at auction. |

And this article has today's date on it (it does refer to previous prototypes and contracts) https://www.insidermedia.com/news/midlands...s-military |

Good job they won the contract, otherwise they could have dug a hole for themselves.....

Reads like its a repeat order, which in the current climate is good news for JCB.
The bit that peaked my interest is
Anyone else want to see someone push a 17.5 tonne machine out the back of a airbourne transport plane? All I can think of is this 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Happens more often than you would think, not just the US, we lost a few over the years I was in. Even when the parachute stays attached they often get well battered on landing! 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Would be funny if Tesla joined up with Amazon to deliver cars via the Amazon drone service they keep talking about.

The end result is still a hole in the ground, I suppose! Perhaps that is why they need to order more. |

I guess then a repeat order, and they have probably just reused the original YouTube piece. Good news for JCB (and UK PLC) anyway. I'm pretty sure it was Witham SV where I saw some of these for sale a year or two back, although they have none at present. |

Good news for JCB.
Has anyone else been round their factory near Uttoxeter recently? I can recommend it. Click image to enlarge |
