Does anybody have a CD changer fitted?
My 110 is fitted with the standard Visteon CD Radio, which just happens to be the same as one I'd fitted in my Freelander. For that I'd bought, but never got around to fitting, a 6 disk CD changer kit, so it occurs to me that I could now fit it in the 110 instead Cool

Before I go re-inventing the wheel though, does anybody have a CD changer fitted and, if so, where is it located?

As an aside, the CD radio from my Freelander is on eBay now, if anybody is interested... Whistle Darren

I had the 6 disc changer fitted.

Put it in the cubby box, simple fit, the plug went straight into the original radio.

It went on the blink after 3 years and I replaced it with the freelander head with inbuilt cd player. not near as goo as the changer, jumps alot more.

I would've bought another changer but couldn't find a genuine one for sale at the time.

Great, thanks for that. I kind of guessed it would either be the cubby box or under a seat.

That's another little project to add to the list Smile Darren

Have a 6 cd changer fitted in the cubbybox of the 200 tdi.Connecting cable routed down from dash behind wiring in fuse box then out below this, under transmission tunnel trim and into cubbybox via hole in bottom. Takes about 15 minutes maximum to do all of that. Pioneer unit and it has never skipped. Will send photos if you want. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

They look great, thanks. I'm surfing on my Blackberry at the moment but I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Darren

why CD? why not mp3 or ipod based music store ? you can get far more on new media - does your standard unit have a jack socket on the front ?

The cd changer is in the tdi but the Puma has an auxillary jack connection on the unit for an mp3 player on the upgraded units. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Mainly, to be honest, because I have a brand new one in a box in the garage. That and I've got a large CD collection but no ipod Smile

Thanks for that piccies, Spudfan. I've now got an idea to build a mount for it under the cubbybox, but I'll have to take some measurements. Darren
