He kept saying "I know what you're thinking". I was thinking "er... its not even a thinly disguised Defender?!! The doors look identical!"
Still I like it. Not massively keen on the front grill arrangement, and I suspect putting a bigger (35"?) tyre on the rear door will block the "little" door from opening, but it looks fit for purpose. Its not using portal axles is it? The axle seems an awful long way up on that model (clay?). 2005 Td5 90 XS 1989 V8 110 CSW |

Looks good.
I quite like it. Not sure about the strips on the door. It reminds me of a lock up with a steel bar stopping the great unwashed getting in Not sure whether I would want to buy one though. That will be very dependent on price and it's not a Defender, is it? The other thing I was wondering is dealers for servicing / warranty work / parts. There are none by default and I presume they are thinking about setting up a network. It's a tough one as there will be reasonably few vehicles as its quite niche, there would be no incentive for a garage to take on the expense? I wouldn't want to drive to Bridgend from Norfolk every time I wanted anything done. I wonder what they are planning? |

I was thinking of servicing arrangements too. Would it be too crazy of an idea to release full service procedures so independent garages can do it if they sign up to some kind of scheme to stamp the book? I'm sure any half decent indy who works on defenders now would take one look at this a not be at all bothered at the thought of working on it.
7 year warranty and they will really have something. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE RR MY23 HSE PHEV D5 MY19 HSE - Now Sold D4 MY16 HSE Luxury - Now Sold D4 MY12 HSE - Gone D3 MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten |

Depends how needy the BMW power plant and the gearbox is? Am I just brain washed or is most BMW stuff bullet proof?
Servicing as lots advocate on here, is not rocket science and most of the box ticking on a service form is just an inspection. I think if they did that RDR, they would be on a winner |

I think the BMW 6s have reasonable reputation as far as modern engines go, but I'm not aware if they have been used in any severe duty type applications before. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I likes it , Is it me but when the camera views the bonnet from slightly above it looks like the bonnet has a wry smile on it.

you can probably guarantee that a BMW 6 is much more reliable than any JLR unit and if I was Ineos I would do a deal with BMW to do the dealer servicing DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |
