2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black

Suzuki Jimny - Out of Production

Does anyone have any detail as to why production of the Jimny has ceased? Is it related to Covid-19 or is there some other reason?

As I understand it, production has not ceased. They just stopped importing into the EU as it cocked up Suzukis CO2 emissions figures and caused them to have to pay fines. For the EU it really needed the turbo Boosterjet engine, but I guess Suzuki don’t think the size of the market warrants the engineering effort. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Possibly emissions? (beleive it or not).

They did say they might bring it in as a van version which would have different emission regs.
