What's peoples's thoughts on special editions? Land Rover (or any other manufacturer) build a vehicle to a certain spec and that's what makes it a special edition, if you alter that spec then it's no longer that special edition. Or is it?

Utterly ruined and devalued a great special edition. It actually makes me really cross, not so much that people ruin a classic, but that they think they can charge that sort of money!!
Good job you can't comment on adverts! It’s not original anymore as heavily modified so I don’t think it’s worth anywhere near that asking price.

My opinion, grotesque, hideous, and with illegal number plates.

its ugly!!! and expensive
Nene did similar and called it the Auto Charger... When I was looking for a 50th, someone on the 50th Forum contacted me... so it was never advertised. No longer original and had lost some of the original parts (side steps etc) However Nene had done a professional respray, so a lot of corrosion that 50ths had was sorted. It was low mileage and was in good condition apart from loosing the originality. Genuine GB model and £10k cheaper than the next 50th for sale at the time. (so plenty in it to put it right) My intention was to return it to original, respray etc. I sold many of the bling parts for silly money, e.g. the 18 inch Twisted/Manta wheels were not my thing... sold and then got a complete set of 5 professionally refurbished wheels (to the 50th two tone) with brand new tyres and still have £500 change. I've decided not to take it back to original, as its perfect for me, i can still add my own touches such as clear LEDs lights without worrying about loosing money or originality... and it still drives the same and makes me smile the same... even if its the wrong colour.
