Collecting wood
Hi today I've been and cleared some more wood from the paddock, I must say I bought a stihl pole saw yesterday as these branches were out of safe reach and the saw is a fantastic bit of kit, I've never used one before but this will certainly come in very handy for tidying branches as well Thumbs Up Paul

nice 👍 are they G90’s ? and how do they handle 👍 what a great idea, I won’t be selling mine as we have a wood burner that over winter is used a lot Thumbs Up cheers Paul

The Series isn't mine we just spotted it day after day parked up in the lake district
with it's cargo of logs for sale and if no-ones around it's honesty box...

Something remains so right about the no-nonsense work these vehicles set out to do

I've owned a similar device (mine's an Echo) for many years, and it is indeed a very useful tool. I also have some extensions to add to the drive shaft to make it absurdly long. The only thing I find is sometimes an issue is that you inevitably end up standing underneath the branch you're cutting, resulting firstly in a deluge of woodchip followed by a branch on your noggin.

There is something fundamentally unsound about standing under the branch you're cutting. Rolling with laughter

Hi luckily I didn’t have that issue yesterday but I can see how that would be an issue, my one is a Stihl KM94 R and I also got the carbon 1 metre extension all in it measures 10ft 6” and I’m sure the dealer said you can fit another extension as well, I also like the fact the throttle can be set with a dial which will be handy for strimming around trees, I also looked at the echo range as I know they have a good reputation but I went for Stihl as there is a dealer very local to me Thumbs Up cheers Paul

Silky go to 7.7m but you then need the core strength of an Olympic gymnast to deploy it.

The picture with the wood in the back is great Smile


Over the lockdown we have hens & ducks, and have every Thursday when we went out to clap we have been giving them away as getting too many to keep and my wife did not want the 'egg stall' out. Most of our neighbours are elderly and have loved this.


Then I was sorting out the side of garage and bits of 'I might need that soon' pile... had loads of wood in the trailer ready for the tip. Apparently our tip doesn't yet except trailers... so I built this and the ducks and hens are earning their keep again Thumbs Up given I was going to throw it out... Very Happy

Blimey that’s over twice the length of my pole saw, but I can well imagine that a contractor would find that useful, what a lovely thing to do re the eggs Thumbs Up and a great use of the timber lying around, Thumbs Up cheers Paul
