I have a Ram X Grip which I got from Mud. It’s done Morocco and Pyrenees no problem at all. I have it on a Ram ball screwed to to a Raptor dash pod, but it would be fine on a Ram windscreen suction mount. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Plus one on the x-grip. Have a couple in the 110 & one on my Husqvarna 501!

I, too, have an X-Grip, albeit a generic one from eBay rather than a Ram one. Together with the appropriate ball fitting, it's a neat solution on the Puma dash:
