Instrument Cluster Removal
Hello,
I need to remove my dash to find a few leaks and clean out along with some sound deadening. Is it ok to unplug the instrument panel for a week or so or is this going to cause me issues? When I plug it back in will it need to be coded and will it affect the immobiliser etc?
Might be being overly cautious.

It will be fine sat on the shelf. Just bear in mind that your Defender can’t be started without it fitted. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Does that mean that removing the instrument panel could be another security layer?
