Dual battery issue with Victron Cyrix-CT-230A
System was working fine till yesterday, now my VSR is giving a 0.25second continuous blink indicating "alarm (over temperature; voltage > 16 V; both batteries < 10 V; one battery < 2 V)"

Main battery is 14.41v and Aux is 12.76 so must be a fault in the VSR or a temp issue but ambient is not that hot and battery box seems cool.

Schematic is as follows - any ideas?

Haven't got around to connecting the Aux fusebox as shown but the VSR was working fine for the last few weeks (as denoted by the LED status)

Just double check the VSR earth. A high resistance on its relay reference earth can cause it to loose its calibration and throw random wobblys.

Also, although highly unlikely, just check your resistance on your lines either side going to each battery and check there isn't something adrift there.

I'd say its likely that it may not be seeing one of the batteries. Is it cross linking them when you start it up still? North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader

0.25s LED blinking is also happening when I start the engine

Have checked all the fuses and they are fine - will check resistance and report back

Seems to me that the aux battery is the issue as when I disconnect that the 0.25s blinking LED continues

Resolved - loose crimp in aux batter connection to the VSR

All good now.

Thanks for your suggestions Duncan

Yup that pesky high resistence causes most of the problems in VSRs. North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader
