Am I really right here?
A thread on a Landrover DEFENDER and the only headline items are quality and control? No Sir, that cannot be a Defender from Landrover, both terms are eliminated at 'Real' Defenders from the beginning. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel. |

Must admit the even though my Countryman was the PHEV it was a brilliant car for most of the driving I now do. Couldn’t half shift when prodded but comfy and quiet. It was my first non-LR car in 30 years, got in 2018 Replaced an SDv6 HSE Dynamic RRS which was pretty good but a replacement the same spec became out of my price league. One thing Mini soon let me know was that I could have missed out the PHEV stage and gone straight to a Tesla or Kia or Hyundai or Renault Zoe and if I had I probably would never have come back to JLR again, not even for the way overpriced iPace and would have kept my old 90. I’ll be keeping theTDi300 90 a bit longer before reaching my aim of running only one car, one very capable car even if it is a polluting diesel, such a pity that New Defender wasn’t available with either a PHEV or BEV option from the start and I here that the 90PHEV Defender might even have the Evoque PHEV set up................. sorry JLR it needs to have the 6 cylinder petrol hooked up to the battery not a 1.5 triple, even the 90 is a huge weight yo haul around and will kill the battery range very quickly. Also if you buy any current JLR PHEV then it is only AWD, no low ranges/ transfer box, hopeless for those of us that want to be greener. AND go off-road. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |
