Hi,
I’m in need of 2 x FTC 3154 and 2 x FTC 1740 stub axles for my restoration build. I wouldn’t buy the Britpart ones but was wondering if any one can vouch for the Bearmach branded ones? OEM ones are about twice the price of the Bearmach ones and I’m not against paying the extra at all but wondering if it’s necessary. Thanks in advance. 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html 2014 Discovery 4 SE Tech Instagram @the110camper |

I have always used pattern ones and just swapped the bronze thrust ring and needle bearing on the front ones for better quality ones. I would say to change the seals but I remove these to allow some lubrication the the drive flange splines anyway.

Thanks Steve.
I was going to leave the seal out as well. Any particular brand you use and have any failed prematurely? 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html 2014 Discovery 4 SE Tech Instagram @the110camper |

No issues at all. Have used Bearmach ones previously and unbranded ones from paddock spares. Haven't had any issues with them. I did make a mess of the thread on one but it was a bad thread on a dodgy nut.

Thanks, great to have some feedback from someone who’s used them. 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html
