I must say that from this angle, with a very slight slope to the bonnet, the shoulder lines on the front wings and the oversized bumper, It looks more G-Wagen than 90, but still a whole lot better than the JLR pretender-defender. It looks a bit like a Lenco Bearcat ![]() Which means we can all travel like this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Ah, so that's what that vehicle is! I remember wondering about it after seeing it in some videos. Looks awesome! |

I hadn't looked at it that way around ~ it does make sense ![]() So this appears to have turned into a red herring? But what about that box underneath? Last edited by Supacat on 2nd Jul 2020 4:17pm. Edited 3 times in total |

I've stopped reading the 2020 Defender thread.
This one is far more interesting. |

The wheels look familiar.
![]() Click image to enlarge They're remarkably like Mopar Moab rims, available in various sizes to suit different Jeep models, also as copied aftermarket versions. Including 17x7.5 and 17x8.5 sizes. ![]() Click image to enlarge If you were designing a new 4x4 and wanted to take advantage of an existing, massive range of aftermarket wheels, available worldwide, then using a Jeep wheel size and stud pattern would be the way to go. ![]() |

If they are Mopar Moab then they seem to have a pretty low load rating for a vehicle with a 3.5t GVW. The specs I can find suggest they're rated at 885kgs, which seems barely adequate compared to even standard Defender 110 wheels. Darren

Good question. Nobody got any thoughts? I'm going to guess that it's some form of test equipment - strain guage perhaps used in conjunction with a trailer to measure forces on the chassis or rear axle. |

Looks like they might have a 4-link anti-squat set up as used in some Baja and desert racers, plus some US muscle and drag cars. ![]() Click image to enlarge Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Door handles that work ~ sounds good to me
![]() JLR has lots of history with door handles. Range Rover SUVs Are Recalled for a Door-Latch Problem https://www.consumerreports.org/car-recall...h-problem/ Didn't the Velar suffer with one's that wouldn't move? They look identical to those on earlier Discoveries. |
