Radiator identification
Hello all - I am new to this site but have owned a Land Rover product of some sort for the last 40 years or so.
My current rebuild project is a Series 1 (allegedly!). It has a 2.5 litre petrol engine from an early defender.
I’m having a problem finding a new radiator. I think the radiator currently fitted (see pics) might be NTC6168 from a defender 2.5 turbo diesel (with the oil cooler redundant). However it’s difficult to be certain as measurements on the Internet seem hard to come by. I wondered if anyone has/uses this radiator in their vehicle who could check sizes for me?

The current radiator in my pictures is ...
Total length 650mm,
Total width/height 415mm,
Thickness of top frame 75mm,
(plus or minus a mm or two)
and most critically, centre to centre of locating pegs is 485mm.

If anyone knows of a rad without oil cooler that would match the dimensions then so much the better but any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks, Stephen

It's probably the same rad as I've got in mine as I'm still using the original rad from when mine was a 2.25 petrol. Let me measure and take some photos this afternoon if that would help? 1984 90 V8 puma want to be.

Hi Stephen, dimentions of my rad are;

Length - 63cm
Height - 42.4cm
Thickness - 5.5cm
Middle of of the pegs on the top - 48.5cm

Mine is the standard rad from when mine was a 2.25 petrol (1985). Its been recored, probably more than once and I remember having to have an overflow added when I went to V8 but this was done to to the original rad.

I've attached a couple of photos also.

Hope that helps. 1984 90 V8 puma want to be.
