he's added auto-translation to the clip, so now there is more context. the first Defender went up without any issues, it's just the white 110 that struggled. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Just took one for a good test drive at my dealer this morning. Feels even larger than a FFRR, very comfortable and roomy passenger area. Have the impression that the seating position is even higher than the old Defender, and there is excellent visibility all round. Nice truck really, perfect finish there at that new Nitra plant. Really impressed with the Slovakia workmanship. I drove the 2.0 liter diesel 249HP today. Will make another test drive with the 3.0 liter gasoline version later. While this 2.0 liter diesel has plenty power, I think a 3.0 liter is more natural for a large beast like this. The only negative to me is the design of the interior door trims with those visible (fake?) screws. That seems a bit of a tacky design feature for a luxury truck like this, hope they quickly will clean that up. I will never replace the SVX, that one is a keeper, but who knows, in a few years time the Mrs. car may come up for replacement. Overall, after all the negative I read on here, this was a pleasant surprise.
Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw Last edited by ericvv on 4th Jun 2020 3:32pm. It was actually quite a tortuous watch. No one really seemed to know what they were doing, drivers or guides. And I didn’t understand a word to boot. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

It's in Hebrew, since the video was made in Israel.

New article, I think.
https://gearpatrol.com/2020/05/31/land-rover-design-boss/# I'm kind of ambivalent about the New Defender, but each time I read an article that quotes Gerry, I go off it a bit more. "Desirative consequence". I can only assume he is now making up phrases deliberately to troll people. |

Lots of fancy words in that article that I have no clue what they mean! Maybe it’s just me.

Judging by the huge choice of 1st Edition models that I have been given to choose from, all with two weeks delivery from dealers stock it would appear that either it isn’t selling well Or there are a lot of cancelled orders resulting from employment doubts due to C-19 pandemic................ Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Or for £10k more than a factory First Edition you can have the Chelsea Truck Co. First Edition.
The paint work don’t look to good, maybe just the photos. Either way it’s not for me. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-car...fender-110 |

That's the problem with McGovern its all about show and no substance which is the polar opposite to what Land Rover was founded on. |
