Alarm and immobiliser
hello who replaced his original alarm on a defender td4 2013 or 2011 with another reliable model. the AS10 (green or black box) is no longer available and is faulty with problems. I often go to the desert and I don't want to be blocked.
Thanks

Hi There

There are 2 companies based in the U.K that deal with repairs to the 10as unit,

Remote key.co.uk
And
Technozen-electronics.co.uk

Perhaps it may be worth a call or an e mail to either or both, they may be able to offer a solution to your problem.
Both their websites are quite informative.

Regards

David

Salut!

Pete at bellautoservices.co.uk can tell your engine ECU not to look for the immobiliser code. Now your engine will start no matter what happens to your 10AS.

You will have to post your ECU to him, but it’s worth it.
