Window Blocks

Gents

The window blocks on my vehicle are corroded and need to be replaced. I was going to just replace pretty much like for like
As in as factory standard but wonder would it be better to replace with the billet aluminium types.
I am not so keen on leaving them unpainted or the anodised look, and would prefer to paint them body colour.
Any thoughts / suggestions on choices and where to buy. There seems to be a difference in prices, does that reflect quality or just because they have a brand name?

If you are going to paint them, then it really comes down to cost. About £12 each for originals against £90 a pair for billet.
I bought a second pair of originals and painted them myself. Swap them over every couple of years when corrosion re appears. Have one set body coloured and one set in black, just for a change.
I don’t know what life you will get out of billet, before you need to repaint.

Yes, I did just replace the originals as like for like on my 300tdi and was surprised at how cheap
they were. It was just a thought about the billet ones!
