Grafty has a campsite it’s just in Devon, maybe worth dropping him a pm, of course it all depends when you “hope” to come down to Cornwall 2015 HT XS 90

A group of us stayed at Ocean pitch in Croyde last year and couldn't fault it. Spitting distance to the beach, a few good pubs and lots of routes for walking and cycling. We slept in the LR whilst some mates slept in a Transit and they charged us just as basic camping rather than adding the cost of car/camper-van to a tent price https://oceanpitch.co.uk/
Can also recommend this one, much more space for ball games etc and relaxed rules on music/noise in the evening or group bookings if that's what you are looking for. The only downside is it's a good hump back up the hill from Polzeath town http://polzeathcamping.co.uk/southwinds/ 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

Stowford farm meadows in ilfracombe north devon. In laws have a caravan there we use all the time. Its an awesome camp site with play areas, children's entertainment, restaurant, bar, fish and chip shop and also a really nice little petting farm. Definitely recommend it and theres a few nice towns local in north devon that arent far from it. We love it there! |

Not camping but a Land Rovering chum of mine, has some cottages in Cornwall that are not at all expensive.

A friend rang me last night he had planned a caravan holiday in Devon and booked a pitch on a caravan site in January this year , he was due to arrive next week the owner of the site rang him yesterday asking for a £5000 (five thousand pound) extra non refundable deposit, needless to say he is now taking his holiday somewhere else. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

I live in Wadebridge just a few minutes drive from Rock and Padstow , and I’ve got to say it’s the busiest I’ve ever know it down here but I do like to see it busy
Valley caravan Park in Polzeath is great for camping etc as only 200 yards from the beach |

Did he give a reason? I understand having people pay a reasonable chunk of the cost of their stay to ensure your not left out of pocket for no shows, but £5k is a bit steep! 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |
