Sill rail replacement
I have searched to see if I can find an answer, alas I cannot.

My sill rails are shot. Flaking and badly rusted.

My intention is to replace them with YRM galv rails.

I take it that on a 90, it is a case of simply unbolting the old ones and bolting the new ones in place? No welding or cutting required.

Morning
i have just taken mine off and replaced with rock sliders (much stronger, looks better and better side impact protection).
On the 90 there are approx 5 bolts to undo on each side and over half of mine were so corroded they snapped off Shocked
Worst ones were at the front end connecting bracket to chassis. Also...watch out for eyefuls of mud/dust
Consider a better alternative to the LR sills as they are flimsy.

No welding required.
Cutting on the other hand...... you may find all your bolts rusted to the nuts, best to hope for them to snap!
It’s worth making sure you have plenty of new hardware in case. Have a good look around all your fixing points before tackling the job and hit them with wd40 a few days in advance and then daily.

Hopefully you mean these, not side steps, as Tommo may be thinking of.
