Looking at this photo from your gallery, this is a non-standard fitting method. Hex-head bolts/screws have been used instead of the originals between the headlamp and the grille, plus an extra two between the headlamp and the signal lamps which aren't there as standard.

It came from the factory / dealer with plastic covers to protect the headlamps, so that’s why it has the extra fixings , sadly it was three weeks old when a pheasant took them out

M8 means dia of threaded section is 8mm in dia. The bolt head should be fit a 13mm spanner but knowing Land Rover it could be any size. edited to correct spanner size from 10 to 13 mm. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard Last edited by ARC99 on 3rd May 2020 7:47am. Edited 1 time in total |

A standard M8 has a 13mm head size.
Self-tapping screws are similarly sized to wood screws by number. Mo The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen. 50 Shades of Pennine Grey |

I would take one out and measure the diameter, I have removed over the last week or two that I thought would be M6 bolts only to find they were in fact M8 with a smaller hex head. When I was in engineering we called them lost heads. Don't make old people mad.
