Nope. Thats how much they cost. You may be able to find one for around £430.
Second hand ones dont exist nor do take offs or scarp yard ones. Buy two sets of air con o rings from halfords. Takes all of 30mins to fit. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

Bankz,
Can you explain please? Anywhere i can find anymore information? Where I had it recharged they say it is leaking near the fan is this something the O rings would sort? Thank you Fabio |

Ahhh then yes it is possible, try that first they are £3 i think.
The condensors are very brittle, years of being on the front of car and they fall to bits. Basically if you have a look at your AC condensor you will see it has two 8mm bolts on each side. Remove those and thats where the Orings go. Ill take some pics for you today/tomorrow. Its a really easy job, i mean really easy. Post a pic of your condensor if you can too mate. Edit - found a pic online shows what I mean well enough! The red circles, undo the bolts - with the system vented - and the orings will fall out. Replace with new, buy two packs from Halfords - you need two of the same size but the packs only include one - then give it a regas. Thank you for the reply,
My condenser has the hive breaking at the bottom, I'll take a picture tomorrow. I read here somewhere that even though they break they still work, don't know if it is true or not... But obviously i'll try that before I spend the 4 or 500£. Thank you. Fabio |

They do work yes. The "hive" isnt under pressure like the rest, more fins better cooling really. I replaced mine a couple years ago as there was almost nothing left and the fan was seized. Instagram @defender_ventures

If you please put the pictures here i can go back to the mechanic and have a look around the O rings with a UV light.
If that is where it is leaking from than it will save me a lot of money. And it would be better than having to recharge it again, because i have done that twice and the gas just disappears. Thank you very much Fabio |

Mine was leaking where the brackets are riveted to the core, the core had corroded with the rivets in contact with them.
And as previously said you cannot get them any cheaper they are just for defenders no other model. Cheers Will 2005 90 XS 1954 86'' Series 1 tilt 1968 88” 2A 200tdi 2002 110 Hardtop |

Gents,
I have taken it apart and it is the condenser, at the back of the condenser there is huge stain of oil. So a new condenser is needed where do you think I should be buying it from apart from Land rover because there costs more then 700£. Thank you Fabio |

I bought a Britpart branded one, still expensive, but cheaper than LR. It was exactly the same in every way to the LR one, including the same make of fan. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I think the condenser comes from discovery 1 and is fit to the puma using a frame. You will have to fabricate the frame by yourself and bolt it together. More modifications may be needed to match the hoses though.
I was in the same boat and even made this frame with the intension to use a non LR condenser. In the end I gave up and bought it here for £350 excl vat. https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/conditioning-...22245.html Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR Jeep Wrangler YJ 1990 4.0. I ordered from here: https://www.lrdirect.com/LR025985-Condenser/ They don't list one as specifically Britpart now, and I can't remember if I ordered the one listed as "original equipment" and it happened to be Britpart, probably did. It was 4 years ago now and my memory is not that good 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |
