Adjusting head restraint.

How do you adjust/remove/refit the front head restraints on a tdi Defender. I need to remove the head restraint to fit a water proof seat cover then refit the head restraint. They are different to the Puma in having only a central column. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali
2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu
2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai

Re the above request for information. Seems I ordered the wrong seat covers...don't need the ifo now
