3 Point Seat Belts in 90 ?
First post here on Def2 so go easy on me...

Does anyone know if you can install 3 point seat belts in the rear of a Def 90 ? I know that early rear seats were bench style, then the individual versions appeared on CSW and now the horrid 2 full seat style...

Was looking at a 90 CSW about 2002-2005 age bracket with the 4 inward facing seats and need 3 point belts for child seat attachment. My only other option is a 110 but it's over kill 90% of the time.

Any advice appreciated.

Welcome Ridgeway to the forum.

I was in the same dilemma when I bought my 110 (I have 4 childrens). finally I decide for a Puma, one of my reasons to do not buy a 2006 model was because the child seat were not designed to be used in the inward position and under this conditions does not provide any safety for the childs in an impact.

Sincerely, If you have childrens that use child seats in a 90 pre 2007, I would prefer to take away this inward seats and change them for seats facing to the front (with 3 point seat belt). With that you will loss space and at least one seat but in case of an accident will be better.

Cheers Eduardo

Sounds like a 110 will be better in that case.

Thanks

If you're moving kids around then it has to be a 110 in my opinion. The 90 is a great truck but you can't safely fit child seats without replacing the rear drop-down seats. The only safe replacements are quite expensive (Exmoor trim do a set and Bearmach distribute globally).

I've had a 90 and have now opted for the 110 as we now have kids. A definite improvement. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

^^^^
Agree with that, a 110 will be far better and also give you a lot of space to load all the things that the childrens like.

Cheers and have a good luck! Eduardo
