An introduction and my Land Rovers
Hi all, just thought I'd post a quick introduction/hello.

I've joined this forum to hopefully to a bit of reading up on other people's camper/overland type conversions on trailers and Defender 90s.

My current "fleet" consists of a 1998 300tdi Defender 90, and a 1987 2.5 Petrol 110.

The Defender is the workhorse, its my daily driver and what I use for camping trips all round the UK. Its suited for what I'm doing at the moment, however trips are limited to a few days due to the lack of space in the back.
However, this trailer build idea will hopefully sort that issue!

The 110 was going to be converted into a camper, but it seemed a shame to start ripping apart and changing the engine in a nice untouched an low milage example of a 110, so some sympathetic repairs is all she's getting before going off to a new owner.

I look forward to reading up on the projects of others, and contributing where I can.

Cheers,

Danny

Welcome on board, Danny. Pictures are good, we all like pictures Smile

A 2.5 petrol from 1993 must be a pretty rare beast as the 200tdi was dominating sales by that time. Darren

Here we go! They're both far from pristine, but they're solid and as mechanically sound as land rovers can be. I've even managed to get the 110 to a stage where it doesn't leak anything at all!

That 1993 2.5 petrol is strange as the factory had stopped supplying them, except for export, from December 1991.

Does the VIN state 2.5 petrol?

It will be: SALLDHAD. D=2.5 petrol.

If so, it is quite a rarity.

I got my wires crossed with the date on the 110! She's actually 1987, I have a feeling I made the initial post not long after chatting on the phone about a 1993 Defender 110!

Apologies for the confusion!

Cheers,

Danny
