What size breaker bar would you recommend. I would expect if it is too big it may not be useable in some places, too small and not the leverage you need.

syringe? try the garden sprayers 5L ones, works a treat and you dont have to keep going under the vehicle, add the required amount, pressurise the sprayer and leave it be. Cheers

[I think the best thing I bought was a 2 post ramp, but maybe pushing the budget]

Battery impact gun is a god send. Milwaukee is great but cheaper ones ok. Since I got my first electric one I've not had the air gun out of the drawer.

Biggest hammer you can swing comfortably. 4X6T axle stands let you get the vehicle completely off the ground. Something to lie on or a cheap car creeper really help

Decent light. I've just got one of these and it lovely

You will see lots of preferences on grease guns. But my favourite is the ALEMITE LEVER GREASE GUN 500-E. It has a flexible hose and a quality coupler. A real quality tool that will last generations

. Available from Allube in the uk. Not the cheapest but works perfect on UJ nipples as it seals perfect ,yet easy to detach.
I did a lot of research, on farming forums etc, was still uncertain as lower cost ones from machine mart received recommendations, but in the end went for it and pleased I did.

I appear to be different to everyone else on here and don’t tend to use, or like “nut guns”. They are ok for whipping the wheels off but with other fittings I like to feel what is going on, so prefer to use hand tools.

But each to their own.

That's a good idea JST and quite timely, the diaphragm went on my cheapo syringe last night. Will the sprayer pump cold ep90 without too much trouble? 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

My personal preference is for the Milwaukee M18 FUEL range, but they are expensive professional tools and not in everyone's budget. I am fortunate to have 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" square drive versions now, the 1" is something of an animal, not much that it won't shift!

Thanks Danny & Blackwolf - have had my eye on a 1/2 inch Milwaukee but as you say they are expensive

Sadly I have settled on the Makita LXt system (have a drill and driver set and reciprocating saw) so I would have to buy battery and charger as well!!

This has also sparked my interest
