Durite aren't original, they are an aftermarket supplier, but there is nothing "wrong" with them as components.
Best bet if you can is to photo what you have and what you need to replace. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

JRL use Tyco (now TE Connectivity) The Yellow sockets are P/N AFU3271 The Black sockets are P/N YPP10005 The brown sockets are p/N YPP10004 Last edited by dorsetsmith on 13th Apr 2020 1:06pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Thank you for all your replies.
I think I have ordered all the right bits! I will try and upload a picture at some point....its a mess of bodges which I'm trying to sort. One relay actually melted and burnt the carpet! I have ordered; Genuine Lucas Yellow Relay Holders Durite 0-727-15 for relay box (Wipers, Heated Windscreen etc) Ford Yellow V23136-B1-X33 for underseat (fuel pump etc) I see you can buy Black replacement relays from Bearmach. Seem quite a reasonable price but not sure if they are reliable enough? I know when my yellow relay played up before it was creating all sorts of havoc so trying to eliminate any issues whilst I finally have some down time. Hopefully these items arrive. Thanks again everyone, stay safe. |

Lucas Rists relay holders are what i generally use, they fit onto all of the mounting tabs under the fusebox and seatbox. I always use Tyco/TE relays though

They certainly have! Slowly getting it sorted....it's amazing the things you always find when you buy something used. Especially Land Rover...people like to tinker Got to secure the ECU wiring loom. Its been raised but the harness has just been crammed through the cover. Its chaffed through the insulation luckily only the Black braided part. Do people run them inside the door pillar normally? I can't find a decent picture of how it's routed nicely. Under the Passenger seat the batteries are not secured and the solenoid for the dual batteries is lay loose Because I use it everyday I've just had to make do but now is the perfect time to sort it......well maybe a warmer day than today |

I have the 70A 4-way relay bases YPP10005 and terminals to suit up to 6.0mm² cable.
I also have the 5-way yellow AFU3271 bases, as well as the green, black, and ‘natural’ versions (no brown, unfortunately), with terminals to suit various cable sizes. I also have a small quantity of the 9-way relay bases AFU4177 used for wiper delay, dim-dip, and heated screen timer relays PM me if interested Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

Depending on the model year, they have either been Lucas-Rists, TE Connectivity, or Lear (marked with BMW part numbers), or a mix of types. Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |
