Hi CR, spacers are good they make the turning circle more of a yacht instead of the Queen Mary!,
Only problem for me was one of the Bassets ran off last year when I swapped the wheels and spacers and the front NS wheel came off (got good camera footage that won't see the light of day), because the spacer was hand tight but the wheel nuts were squeaky tight. Seasons Greetings Shaggydog, rims are excellent, do exactly what they should and look dam good IMHO. They do end up with a black line of brake dust in the indentation about 2 inch from the edge of the rim. Not a problem really as I wash it weekly! Keeps me out of the wife's way and avoids the kids

Just looking at zero off set rims. Wish to improve turning circle. Do these protrude from the arch at all?

Hi there, if you look at the first photo on this thread, you’ll see that the rims are exactly in line with the arches. Suspect a HCPU will be the same. You will need extended mud flaps if you don’t want dirt all over the doors!

James below is my 110 with Zero off set rims and 265s they do stick out but a wheel arch would sort them out nicely......

It will depend, to an extent, on the wheels and tyres that you choose. If you go for a 235/85 tyre on a 7 inch wide rim then probably not. Go up to a 265 wide tyre and you'll be ok at the front but maybe not at the back. Go up to an 8 inch wide rim with a 265 tyre and you'll definitely be outside the body at the rear and maybe the front, too. We’ve had 255/85/16 BF mud terrain’s on our 110 with standard boost & 30mm spacers. If we’re loaded & doing some serious off road the rears just lick the arches fronts are fine though.
As we’re getting the 110 ready for extended trips I’ve been thinking steel wheels with zero offset ( to loose the spacers) are they massively stronger than a boost alloy? Never seen a broken boost. |

The usual reason for choosing steels over alloys is not so much the strength but the fact that if you do damage one then they can be beaten back into shape rather than just fracture. Having said that, even though Boosts are pretty tough at something like 1100kgs, most steel wheels are stronger. Darren
