A large part will depend on your experience. If, like me, you are trying teach yourself, you'll need considerably more paint as you are bound make mistakes that need rectifying and repainting.
If I didn't make any big errors (I wish), I reckon I would work on using about 200 to 250ml per panel, per coat of acrylic base colour, plus the same amount of thinner to mix it with. Some panels will be more, some less, but I'd think it would even out over the whole car. Would need to allow more if you are doing inside and out. I've just bought a litre of Arles Blue coach enamel and a litre of primer from Paintman Paints.
They are still operating and send it quickly. But £60 for two litres of liquid and postage isn't cheap. |
